The Activity Information was presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Prof. Dr Vladimir Djukic who spoke about the laws already adopted by the National Assembly and the acts in preparation which are yet to be submitted to the National Assembly. Djukic said that the Ministry is currently drafting a law on health insurance, law on sanitary inspection as per Negotiation Chapter 28, law on the quality of water intended for human consumption and amendments and modifications to the Law on Substances Used in Illicit Manufacturing. The State Secretary also spoke about the rulebooks passed in the abovementioned period and other ongoing activities. He spoke about the treatment of rare diseases which has received a considerably larger proportion of budgetary funds compared to last year resulting in the accessibility of more varied medicines for said diseases. The State Secretary added that the Ministry is preparing a new rulebook on the nomenclature of lab services and documents to complete the regulatory framework for inspections.

Following a discussion the Committee members unanimously accepted the Ministry of Health Activity Information for the period October – December 2017.

The Committee went on to review the civic petitions it had received in the previous and accepted the proposal of the Working Group for civic petitions to forward them along for further handling.
