142nd Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues
At the sitting held on 22 October, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues deliberated on the amendments to four of the bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the Third Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
The Committee members reviewed the 198 amendments submitted to the Investment Bill and found three of them not to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia viz. the amendment jointly submitted to Article 9 by MPs Jovan Markovic and Dragan Sutanovac, the amendment submitted to Article 43 by MP Suzana Spasojevic and the amendment submitted to Article 43 by MPs Marko Djurisic, Aleksandar Senic, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, Branka Karavidic, Slobodan Homen and Dr Blagoje Bradic. The Committee members found the rest of the amendments to the Investment Bill to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee found all nine of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee members also found all 27 of the amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Consensual Financial Restructuring compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee then reviewed the 43 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Forests and found all of them compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, except for the amendment to Article 62 submitted by MPs Nenad Canak, Bojan Kostres, Olena Papuga, Nada Lazic, Djordje Stojsic and MA Dejan Capo which the Committee rejected as incomplete.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic.
