13th Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 20 April, the members of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered 10 document proposals submitted by the Government for the agenda of the Fourth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018.


Representative of the submitter, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Zivkovic said that the proposed bills and decisions contribute to the further reform of the system of defence and the operative functionality and capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces and the system of defence overall.

Following a debate the Committee accepted the Bill on Production and Trade in Weapons and Military Equipment, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations outside of the Republic of Serbia Borders, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Serbian Armed Forces, Bill on Military Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Military, Labour and Material Obligations, Bill on the Confirmation of the Defence Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Romania, Bill on the Confirmation of the Aviation Cooperation Memorandum between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Srpska, Proposal of the Decision on the Adoption of the Annual Plan for the Engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations in 2018 and the Proposal of the Decision on the Participation of Serbian Army Personnel in Multinational Operations in 2018.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Marija Obradovic, and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Sandra Bozic, Gordana Comic, Stefana Miladinovic, Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic, Dubravka Filipovski, Bozidar Delic, MA Igor Becic, Snezana B. Petrovic, Aleksandar Markovic and MP Zoran Zivkovic.
