For the sitting, the National Assembly Speaker set the following one-item agenda:
1. President of the Republic takes the oath of office.
The National Assembly Speaker informed the attending that, at the session held on 9 May 2022, the Republic Electoral Commission had adopted the Decision on the sum results of the elections for the President of the Republic. Based on the results of the elections held on 3 April 2022, and repeated at 35 polling stations on 16 April 2022, the Republic Electoral Commission ascertained that pursuant to Article 21 of the Law on the Election of the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vucic has been elected President of the Republic by winning 2,224,914 votes i.e. 58.59%, which is the majority of the votes cast. Thus, the conditions had been met for the President of the Republic to, pursuant to Article 114, paragraph 3, of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, take the oath of office before the National Assembly.
The President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic proceeded to take the oath of office before the National Assembly by reading the text set out in the Constitution, after which the RTS choir sang the national anthem of the Republic of Serbia “God of Justice”.
The President then addressed the National Assembly.
Following the President’s address, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic concluded the 11th Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 12th legislature.
