104th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 23 January, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending considered a number of bills on the agenda of the 20th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature.

The Committee accepted the proposal of Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic to complete a joint debate in principle and single debate on items 1 to 7 on the agenda.

The Committee members considered, in principle, the Bill on the 2021 Census of Population, Households and Dwellings, Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (Competitive Agriculture Project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (Additional Financing for Real Estate Management Project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Serbia (as Borrower) and T.C. ZİRAAT BANKASI A.Ş. and DENİZBANK A.Ş.(as Lenders), Bill on the Confirmation of the Guarantee Agreement (Srbija Voz Rolling Stock Acquisition) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Framework Loan Agreement LD 2009 (2019) between the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Republic of Serbia for the Project Loan for the Construction of New University Children’s Hospital, Tiršova 2 in Belgrade.

The bills were presented by representatives of the submitter Jelena Tanaskovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Snezana Lakcevic, Assistant Director of the Republic Statistical Office, and Bojan Zivkovic, Assistant Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management’s Directorate for Agrarian Payments, and after a debate the Committee accepted them all.

The Committee also decided to withdraw from Assembly procedure the Proposal of the Decision to Grant Consent to amend certain expenditures with no change to the overall expenditure and overall income of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media 2019 Financial Plan which it had forwarded to the National Assembly on 2 December 2019.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Bojanic, Srbislav Filipovic, Sonja Vlahovic, Momo Colakovic, Olivera Pesic, Zoltan Pek, Aleksandar Stevanovic, Goran Kovacevic, Doc. Dr Ivan Bauer and Dr Milorad Mijatovic.
