Biography

Zoran Lutovac, Doctor of Political Sciences, President of the Democratic Party (DS)

Born on 7 August 1964 in Belgrade.

Graduated, earned a master's degree and doctorate at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. Holder of a scholarship of the University of Belgrade during regular studies and a scholarship of the City of Belgrade Science Community for postgraduate studies at the Institute of International Politics and Economics.

Worked at the Institute of Social Sciences from 1992, was the Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro from 2008 to 2013, and then returned to the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade. Was an associate of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Speaks German and English.

Member of the Yugoslav and afterwards Serbian Association of Constitutional Law since 1994. President of the Institute of European Studies Governing Board 2001-2004.
Member of the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids Governing Board 2001-2004.
Member of the European Movement Serbia Forum for International Relations.
Member of the Serbian Political Science Association.
Member of the SASA Board for the Study of National Minorities and Human Rights.

Published three monographs and more than 70 articles and chapters in domestic and foreign scientific journals and collections in the field of international relations, human and minority rights and political relations in Serbia and the region. Participated in dozens of empirical studies of political public opinion in Serbia and specialised studies such as ethnic distance and inter-ethnic relations. Organised dozens of roundtables, scientific and expert discussions, summer schools and public debates. He researches the phenomena of migration and populism.
