Zukorlic Receives Malaysian Embassy Head of Mission in Farewell Visit

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Usame Zukorlic met today with the outgoing Head of the Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Serbia, Mohd Khairul Tazril Bin Tarmizi.

Zukorlic used the opportunity to thank Tarmizi for his commitment to strengthening the ties between the two countries, as well as the additional effort to connect with minority communities in Serbia. He went on to say that though the huge potential for cooperation between Serbia and Malaysia has still not reached an enviable level, the Head of Mission has certainly deepened the bilateral relations between the two countries. "I hope that the experience you gained during your mandate in Serbia was enough for you to continue to promote Serbia even after returning to Malaysia," said Zukorlic.

The Head of Mission thanked the National Assembly Deputy Speaker for his kind words, adding that he had enjoyed rich cooperation with all the representatives of the authorities in Serbia. He invited the National Assembly Deputy Speaker to be a guest at the next session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which will be held in Malaysia, and expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to move in an upward direction.

The officials agreed to continue to advocate for the strengthening of friendly and political cooperation.
