On 22 December, the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues held its twenty-third sitting, chaired by Meho Omerovic, Committee Chairman. The sitting was attended by the Assistant Minister of Labour and Social Policy Zoran Milosevic.

The Committee members discussed the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Slovenia, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. On the behalf of the submitters, Assistant Minister of Labour and Social Policy Zoran Milosevic briefly outlined the Bill for the Committee members. Milosevic stressed that the adoption of the Bill enables about 10 000 Serbian citizens with over a year of work experience in the Republic of Slovenia or whose company paid their pension and social insurance in the Republic of Slovenia, to, after 18 years, exercise the right to a pension in the Republic of Slovenia.

Having completed the discussion, the Committee unanimously accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Slovenia.
