Twenty-Seventh Sitting of the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues
At the sitting held on 11 May, the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues discussed the Bill on Volunteer Work in principle.
At the sitting held on 11 May, the Committee on Labour, Ex-Servicemen’s and Social Issues discussed the Bill on Volunteer Work in principle. The sitting was chaired by Meho Omerovic, Committee Chairman.
This Bill introduces volunteer work into the legal system for the first time, as a voluntary provision of a service for the common good, without exacting a fee, said Snezana Lakicevic-Stojacic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. Its drafting was preceded by a public discussion that involved numerous concerned persons, labour law experts, representatives of the civil sector and non-governmental organisations, said the Ministry representative.
The Committee members unanimously endorsed the Bill on Volunteer Work in principle.
