Twenty-Second Sitting of the Poverty Reduction Committee
At the sitting held on 5 October, the Poverty Reduction Committee was briefed on the regional conference on the Fight against poverty and social exclusion within the European integration process: role of national parliaments.

The conference will focus on the harmonisation of national legislation with European Union legislation, the part dealing with social inclusion and fight against poverty, said Snezana Stojanovic-Plavsic.
The Committee members endorsed the initiative and stated that the National Assembly would thus take part not only in a joint search for a solution to improve the position of the most endangered part of the population but also contribute to strengthen cooperation between parliaments of the states in the region.
