Third Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 26 April, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues accepted the Decision of the Republic Electoral Commission on the allocation of MPs’ terms of office for the purpose of filling vacant seats at the National Assembly.

The Committee noted that the Republic Electoral Commission had allocated MPs’ terms of office to the following candidates: from the ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – FUTURE WE BELIEVE IN (Serbian Progressive Party, Social Democratic Party of Serbia, New Serbia, Serbian Renewal Movement, Socialist Movement) Electoral List to Jelisaveta Pribojac, and Krstimir Pantic and from the “WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY – FOR DEMOCRATIC SERBIA” Electoral List to Aleksandra Jerkov and Dusan Milisavljevic. The Committee ascertained that the conditions have been met to verify the new MPs’ terms of office and will propose that the National Assembly should note it.

The Committee proceeded to ascertain that the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Marinika Tepic falls within the situation described in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2, of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for. Therefore, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.

The sitting was chaired by Zoran Babic, Committee Chairman.
