Talks on regional parliamentary co-operation
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and acting President of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today met the Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Giovanni Kessler, and Ambassador Maurizio Massari, head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro.
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and acting President of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today met the Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Giovanni Kessler, and Ambassador Maurizio Massari, head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro. The talks centred on regional parliamentary co-operation, encouraged and supported by OSCE through specific projects.
Mr. Markovic had a working dinner with Sergei Shoigu, Russian Minister of Emergency Situations. The situation in Kosovo and Metohia was at the forefront of the discussion, as were the ways of protecting the people and structures in the province.
The talks focused on the specific steps Russia could take to help the displaced and endangered people, which will also be the topic of Tuesday’s talks with representatives of the Coordination Body for Kosovo and Metohia.
