Special Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the special sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee, held on 7 February, the MPs were addressed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Madagascar Jean-Max Rakotomamonjy.
“It is time to strengthen our friendship and launch new projects. Just like the honourable people of Serbia, the people of Madagascar also strive for a better life. In a short time you have become the tiger of the Balkans and I want to convey that to my compatriots. This is the beginning of a fruitful cooperation and I am sure our people will take concrete steps toward meeting their potential, a path on which we can count on reciprocal support”, said Rakotomamonjy.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairperson Aleksandra Djurovic, and was attended, in addition to the Committee members and MPs, by National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic and representatives of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Serbia.
