Speaker Meets with Delegation of European Association of Judges and Prosecutors for Democracy and Liberty (MEDEL)
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, acting President of the Republic of Serbia, spoke with the members of the delegation of the European Association of Judges and Prosecutors for Democracy and Liberty (MEDEL).
The delegation members briefed the Speaker on the Association’s activities and showed interest in the judiciary reform in Serbia. Speaker Djukic Dejanovic stated that the legislators' tendency was to incorporate the standards of international law into Serbian laws, to make professionalism and efficiency a reality in the functioning of all judiciary authorities.
The delegation of the European Association of Judges and Prosecutors for Democracy and Liberty (MEDEL) comprised experts from France and Germany, judges Simone Gaboriau and Hans-Ernst Bottcher.
