The meeting, co-organized by the Joint Commission for Defence and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Centre for Security Cooperation (RACVIAC), OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Geneva Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), was held in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The topics of the Annual Meeting were best parliamentary oversight practices of the defence and security sector, contemporary security challenges in the South- East European region and migrations as a security challenge for the countries of South-East Europe.

In addition to the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, the Annual Meeting was also attended by representatives of the parliamentarians of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Turkey, Slovenia, Macedonia, as well as representatives of the resident diplomatic missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and many international organizations.
