The sitting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science State Secretary Prof. Dr Radivoje Mitrovic and Assistant Minister Prof. Dr Tibor Sabo, who, presenting the Ministry’s activities in said period, stated that the Ministry regularly financed the running technological development projects, as well as the integral inter-disciplinary projects. The Rulebook on procedure and manner of evaluation and quantitative expression of scientific research results and the Rulebook for the categorization and ranking of scientific journals have entered the final drafting phase. The Ministry also worked on keeping the scientists and researchers informed on the projects financed by the European Commission. The Ministry representatives informed the Committee members that a Working Group was formed to address the radiopharmaceuticals issue. The Committee members and Ministry representatives discussed the need to publish more social science papers by domestic scientists in international journals.

The Committee unanimously accepted the Information on the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science for the period July – September 2011.
