Sixteenth Sitting of the Education Committee
At the sitting held on 11 December, the Education Committee considered the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 60 – Ministry of Education.
At the sitting held on 11 December, the Education Committee considered the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 60 – Ministry of Education.
The sitting was attended by the Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic who elaborated next year’s Budget Bill, stressing that the budgetary funds intended for education amount to 106.9 billion RSD, which was last year’s level. Even though more funds had not been secured, the Minister of Education promised that all the obligations would be fulfilled and that next year the efforts to raise the education system to a higher level of efficiency higher quality would be increased.
In the discussion, the Committee members deemed the allocated budgetary funds insufficient, stating that Serbian education necessitates more money. After the discussion, the Committee accepted the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 60 – Ministry of Education by a majority of votes, with the reserved opinions of the Committee Chairman Zoran Sami and Committee member Nikola Zutic.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dr Zoran Sami.
