Serbian World War Two Victims Memorial Day

At the invitation of Press daily newspaper, the National Assembly Speaker attended a lesson held at the First Grammar School of Kragujevac on the occasion. “There is no date expressing such sadness as the memory of 21 October 1941 when each house in Kragujevac flew a black flag and Erdoglija brook ran red with blood. It is a privilege to be in a classroom today where one does not learn for a grade but for life. As long as you, dear pupils, keep the memory of the victims of October 21st and alike alive, so lives the faith that the evil of fascism will not be repeated” - said Djukic-Dejanovic.
The lesson at the First Grammar School of Kragujevac was also attended by Dragoljub Jovanovic, the last living witness of the crime in Sumarice.
