Serbian National Assembly Speaker Meets with Republic of Srpska National Assembly Speaker
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Cubrilovic met today in Belgrade to discuss intensifying interparliamentary cooperation in order to resolve issues of mutual interest for the citizens of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
Gojkovic and Cubrilovic agreed it would be in Serbia and Republic of Srpska’s common interest to step up cooperation in the fields of economy, education, science, culture and sport and to pursue infrastructural projects and more efficient use of natural resources.
They also expressed readiness to cooperate and exchange positive experiences relating to European integration and the adoption of reform laws.
Speakers Gojkovic and Cubrilovic agreed that Serbia’s consistency, as guarantor of the Dayton Accords, in pursuing a principled and objective policy toward the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina is very important. The parliament speakers of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska pledged to further and expand the special relationship through parliamentary cooperation.
