Serbia One Step Closer to European Goal

The Chairman of the European Integration Committee Nenad Canak released the following statement on the opening of a new EU negotiation chapter:

“Today’s opening of one more EU negotiation chapter brings Serbia one step closer to its European goal.

For Serbia, Chapter 9 – Financial services is the 17th open chapter of 35 in total, two of which are temporarily closed.

Good news is that our country is ready to open more chapters and we expect our steps on the path to Europe to be faster and longer.

On the other hand, with the stabilization of the political climate in the European Union we can now expect more support and understanding to make it so.”
