Security Services Control Committee Visits Military Security Agency

In preparation for the upcoming supervisory visit, the members of the Security Services Control Committee visited Military Security Agency. The newly-appointed director of the Military Security Agency Colonel Djuro Jovanic and associates briefed the Committee members on the new organizational structure of the Military Security Agency and its key tasks.

The Agency members informed the Committee on the current security situation in the Republic of Serbia and the measures employed to protect the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Army from threats.

The Committee members praised the Military Security Agency’s cooperation with the other security services and state bodies and institutions of the Republic of Serbia which ensures a timely detection and assessment of defence system risk indicators and employment of efficient measures of counterintelligence and security protection of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Army.

The Security Services Control Committee also visited one of the Military Security Agency’s centres where they were briefed on the working conditions, authority and tasks realized by the centre.
