Second Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 19 September, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered four of the bills on the agenda for the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly, in principle.
Following the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defence representatives’ exposition of the bills, the Committee unanimously accepted the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Emergency Situations and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on readmission or persons residing illegally and the Protocol on the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on readmission or persons residing illegally.
By a majority of votes, the Committee accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Defence Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the United Nations on the contribution to the United Nations Stand-By Arrangements System.
The Committee went on to consider and accept the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2012 Budget Law, Section 15 - Ministry of Interior and Section 18 - Ministry of Defence, in principle.
The sitting was chaired by Dusan Bajatovic, Committee Chairman.
