Second Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 23 June, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the resignations tendered to the post of MP by Aleksandar Vucic, Ljiljana Djurovic and Rasim Ljajic, elected from the Electoral List SERBIA IS WINNING – ALEKSANDAR VUCIC, Biljana Rubakovic, elected from the Electoral List DVERI – DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF SERBIA – SANDA RASKOVIC IVIC - BOSKO OBRADOVIC, and Svetlana Kozic, elected from the Electoral List ENOUGH IS ENOUGH – SASA RADULOVIC.

As specified in the Committee’s report, it was ascertained that said resignations tendered to the post of MP fall within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, and therefore, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MPs’ term of office.

By majority vote the Committee members adopted the Report enabling the election of new MPs by having the submitters of the electoral lists allocate terms of office to other candidates.

The Committee then proceeded to consider and adopt the request made by National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic for monthly cost compensation for apartment lease in Belgrade.

The Committee members also adopted the document on the termination of duty of Dragan Blesic as National Assembly Speaker’s chief-of-staff, due to expiry of the term he was appointed for.

In addition, the Committee members authorised the Committee Chairman to make undisputed decisions on the exercise of status/material rights by MPs and officials appointed or elected by the National Assembly.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dusica Stojkovic, Marinika Tepic, Branimir Jovanovic, Aleksandra Djurovic, Katarina Rakic, Momo Colakovic, Veroljub Matic, Aleksandra Jerkov, Petar Petrovic, Aleksandar Markovic, Nemanja Sarovic, Darko Laketic and Branka Stamenkovic.
