The Committee established that the resignations of MPs Tomislav Nikolic, Aleksandar Nikolic and Jana Ljubicic, elected from the LET'S GET SERBIA MOVING - TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List, MP Dragan Djilas, elected from the CHOICE FOR BETTER LIFE - BORIS TADIC Electoral List, MP Ifeta Radoncic, elected from theParty of Democratic Action of Sandzak - Dr Sulejman Ugljanin Electoral List and MPs Vojislav Kostunica, Dragan Jocic and Aleksandar Popovic, elected from theDemocratic Party of Serbia - Vojislav Kostunica Electoral List fall within the scope of the situation described in Article 88, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament according to which resignation is listed as one of the reasons for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiration of the term he/she had been elected for.

Therefore, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly should note the termination of the terms of office of said MPs and enable the election of new MPs via the allocation of terms of office by the submitters of abovementioned electoral lists to other candidates.

The Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues also considered the reasons for the termination of the term of office of MP Milan Bacevic, elected from the LET'S GET SERBIA MOVING - TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List. The Committee noted that his appointment to the post of counselor to the President of the Republic is a situation described in Article 88, Paragraph 1, Item 5 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament according to which taking over a function or position which are incompatible with the function of MP is listed as one of the reasons for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiration of the term he/she had been elected for. In line with it, the Committee will propose that the National Assembly note the termination of the MP’s term of office.
