Russian Presidential Election Conducted in Line with Democratic Standards and Appropriate Procedures

The Head of National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) MA Igor Becic observed the election for President of the Russian Federation as a member of the international organization and deemed them to have been conducted in line with democratic standards and all appropriate procedures.


At the press conference in Sochi City Hall MA Becic thanked the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for the invitation extended to the PABSEC delegation to attend the Presidential election on 18 March 2018.

Becic said that by visiting the polling stations in Sochi, Kosta and Krasnaya Polyana, the PABSEC delegation ascertained that the election was conducted in accordance with democratic standards and all appropriate procedures. The Electoral Commission ensured an uninterrupted election process for all the participants and the election was transparent with no irregularities perceived.

MA Igor Becic congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the landslide win.
