In a show of respect for tradition and history, the National Assembly and the Zajecar-based Nikola Pasic Foundation organised the presentation of Nikola Pasic – To the Prime Minister, a book edited by Miladin Milosevic and Bora Dimitrijevic.

At the presentation, held at the National Assembly building, Assembly Chairman Predrag Markovic told the guests and journalists that the Asssembly secretary had ruled to re-name the conference room the Nikola Pasic Room, in honour of the Serbian statesman of the late 19th and early 20th century, and out of respect for the historic events that had taken place in the part of the present National Assembly building at 16 Kralja Milana street.

The book, a collection of letters and despatches sent by Nikola Pasic to Serbia from the Paris Peace Conference, held in 1919-20, was discussed by Mr Markovic, the historians Ljubodrag Dimic and Dusan Batakovic, and the editors, Miladin Milosevic and Bora Dimitrijevic. Almost all letters collected in the book were written in Pasic’s own hand; several were dictated, while only four were typewritten.
