National Assembly Standing Delegation at PABSEC Committee Meetings in Rostov

The National Assembly standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) took part in the 50th meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and the 49th meeting of the Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee in Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation, 25-26 October 2017.

The delegation was headed by MA Igor Becic, and comprised delegation members Zoltan Pek and MA Ivan Kostic. The meetings were also attended by MPs from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Romania, the Russian Federation and Turkey.

The Legal and Political Affairs Committee discussed “The 25 Years of the PABSEC: Enhancement of the Interparliamentary Cooperation in the Region” and a draft Declaration of the Assembly on the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

National Assembly delegation member Zoltan Pek was the rapporteur on social protection and benefits for young families in the BSEC member states, the topic of discussion at the Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee meeting. At the meeting, Pek was also elected Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

In the course of the proceedings the Serbian delegation had a number of bilateral contacts, especially with Russian parliamentarians.
