National Assembly Speaker and Children from Zvecani

Today, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia was visited today by about 40 pupils of the "St. Sava" Elementary School from Zvecani, whose stay in Belgrade is organised by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Association of War Volunteers 1912-1918 their Descendants and Admirers

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic greeted the children and spoke with them. "Welcome to the National Assembly, which is your house. Serbia is your country, and everything we have belongs to you," Dr Orlic told them.

As part of the visit program for children from Zvecani, a tour of the Temple of St. Sava is also planned, which, as Dr Orlic pointed out, we are proud to say has finally been completed. "Use every moment to see for yourself how beautiful and successful our and your Belgrade is today. Especially its magnificent Belgrade Waterfront and the monument to Stefan Nemanja, the founder of the medieval Serbian state, numerous new roads and "Prokop" railway station with one of the most beautiful station buildings in Europe. Everything we have done - it all belongs to you," Dr Orlic told them, adding: "Serbia is proud of you and know that it is you who represent the future of your country, the one which we fight for every day."

In addition to visiting the National Assembly and the Temple of St. Sava, the students from Zvecani are also planned to visit the Museum of Serbian Diplomacy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the building of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Assembly of the City of Belgrade and the Military Academy, along with a reception at the Patriarchate and a visit to the Serbian National Museum.
