National Assembly Speaker Sends Telegram of Condolences on Death of Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent a telegram of condolences on the death of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hiroyuki Hosoda.

"Your Excellency,

It is with great sadness that I received the news of the tragic death of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, allow me to extend my deepest condolences on the death of a great politician, who devotedly served his country and represented the interests of his people.

The then Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited our country in 2018, which was the first visit to Belgrade at such a high level in the last three decades, and he made an outstanding contribution to the development and strengthening of peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Japan.

We sympathize with the pain of this irreparable loss and extend our deepest condolences to his family and the people of Japan.

Your Excellency, please accept the expressions of my deep respect."
