National Assembly Speaker Receives Newly-Appointed Israeli Ambassador
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic received the newly-appointed Israeli Ambassador Yossef Levy.
Both officials were pleased by the development of friendly relations between the two countries. They noted the existence of considerable potential for the development of economic cooperation.
Djukic Dejanovic was grateful for Israel's principled position regarding Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. She expects parliamentary cooperation to reach a higher level and to that end she announced an intensification of cooperation between relevant assembly bodies.
The National Assembly Speaker informed the Ambassador that she hoped that the reciprocal invitations issued by the Israeli Parliament Speaker and herself could soon be realised, particularly in the first quarter of next year.
