National Assembly Speaker Receives Newly-Appointed Chinese Ambassador
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic received the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador Zhang Wanxue.
In a cordial meeting, the officials declared the relations between the two countries very friendly, adding that the establishment of strategic partnership in 2009 resulted in considerable progress in both the political and economic sphere. They stressed that the cooperation and understanding between the two countries’ parliaments have become the pillars for the improvement of relations between Serbia and China in which the visits of the Chairman of China's National People's
Congress Wu Bangguo to Belgrade and the NARS Speaker Djukic Dejanovic to Beijing played an important part.
They expressed readiness to continue the cooperation between China's National People's
Congress and the Serbian National Assembly at the level of relevant working bodies.
Both noted that Serbia and China respect one another’s territorial integrity and sovereignty particularly as regards Kosovo-Metohija and Taiwan.
