National Assembly Speaker Receives Indian Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Indian Ambassador to Serbia Sanjiv Kohli.

The National Assembly Speaker emphasised the excellent bilateral relations between Serbia and India, their long-standing close cooperation and friendly relations. The National Assembly Speaker and Ambassador Kohli discussed the possibilities for further improvement of cooperation, especially in the sphere of parliamentary diplomacy. They agreed that an intense exchange of high-level visits contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations and is a practice that should be developed between the two parliaments.

Ambassador Kohli thanked the National Assembly Speaker for the contribution he has given to the advancement and strengthening of friendly relations between Serbia and India in the course of his career, especially as the head of diplomacy. He conveyed the readiness of the Indian Parliament Speaker to visit Serbia in the near future.
