National Assembly Speaker Lays Wreath in Jajinci
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic attended the central annual commemorative gathering in Jajinci, the place of the biggest suffering in World War Two on the territory of Serbia. The Speaker laid a wreath at the monument of Streliste.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the liquidations executed there until the beginning of autumn 1944. In the four years of war, Jajinci saw the execution of more than 60,000 Serbs, Roma, Jews, members of the National Liberation War, anti-fascists and everyone who defied the occupation of the country.
