National Assembly Delegation to OSCE PA at International Conference in Baku

The standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is taking part in the International Conference on the role of parliamentarians in boosting economic cooperation and cultural ties along the Silk Road, in Baku, 13 - 14 March. The delegation headed by Stefana Miladinovic also includes Dusica Stojkovic.

The Conference is organized by the OSCE PA Silk Road support group, of which the Serbian delegation is co-founder, and comprises three panel discussions attended by delegations of 20 countries:

  1. Strengthening economic cooperation and trade relations,
  2. facilitating transport and logistics and
  3. building trust, cultural exchange and promoting dialogue.
Stefana Miladinovic, who had been appointed moderator for the panel on facilitation of transport and logistics attended by the Director-General of the Port of Baku and the Deputy General Manager of Azerbaijan Railways, asked the participants, in view of the need to develop infrastructural connectivity, to make specific suggestions how the cooperation within the OSCE can help resolve the most urgent issues of Euro-Asian connectivity. The participants adopted a Declaration in which they support the states’ efforts to renew the ancient Silk Road saying they are ready to do all in their power to strengthen cooperation between the business entities of the countries in the OSCE PA Silk Road support group.
