Its attendance at the St. Sava Academy in Skopje on 27 January 2018 proves how significant the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region considers the date recognized by the Macedonian authorities as the national holiday of Serbs in Macedonia, which contributes to the affirmation and unity of the Serbian people in the Republic of Macedonia.

The central celebration took place on 27 January at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet building in Skopje and was attended by more than 2000 guests, among them dignitaries from the Republic of Serbia, Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Srpska.
