NARS Speaker Talks to Russian State Duma Deputy Speaker
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Mikhailovich Babakov.
Extending her gratitude for the greetings, the NARS Speaker repeated the open invitation to Mr. Gryzlov to visit Serbia stressing that Mr. Gryzlov’s visit would be exceptionally important for both the further development of parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Russia and the development of the two countries’ overall relations.
Mr. Babakov explained the work of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation) in detail, emphasising the importance of the fact that the meetings are attended by NARS representatives. He expressed hope that the NARS would create a delegation to take part in the CSTO’s work as an observer.
The officials informed one another on the current political situation in Serbia i.e. Russia stressing that the two countries’ relations improve every day in all spheres, in accordance with the high degree of the existing political relations.
