NARS Speaker Talks to Bulgarian National Assembly Speaker Cecka Caceva

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Bulgarian National Assembly Speaker Mrs. Cecka Caceva, visiting Belgrade at the invitation of the NARS Speaker as part of the meeting of women speakers of parliament of South Eastern Europe and the European Union.

The officials exchanged opinions on Serbia’s European Union accession. The Bulgarian Parliament Speaker restated Bulgaria’s endorsement of Serbia’s speedy accession to the European Union and its full support to that end. At the same time she proposed sharing Bulgaria’s experience from its EU accession period via meetings between the Bulgarian and Serbian parliament’s competent committees. To that end she invited the NARS European Integrations Committee to pay an official visit to its counterpart at the Bulgarian parliament.

The NARS Speaker extended cordial thanks for Bulgaria’s support of Serbia’s European integration and accepted the invitation for the NA’s European Integrations Committee to visit Bulgaria’s National Assembly.

The Bulgarian Parliament Speaker proposed that all the countries of the South Eastern Europe should organise a competition where their young people could present their view of the countries they come from in the context of their development until 2020.

The NARS Speaker was pleased to accept the idea and proposed that the winners from each SEE country should be the guests of the NARS, which was accepted with pleasure.
