Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Venezuela Meet with Venezuelan Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Venezuela Djordje Komlenski and PFG members Marija Janjusevic, Vladimir Petkovic and Bojan Torbica, met today at the National Assembly with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, H.E. Prof. Dr Dia Nader de El-Andari to discuss the relations between the two countries and the global political situation.

PFG Head Djordje Komlenski said that through geographically distant the two countries enjoy friendly relations dating back to the Non-Aligned Movement, stressing Serbia and Venezuela share many ties.

Ambassador Prof. Dr Dia Nader de El-Andari said that today’s date is an important one for Venezuela as it is the 235th birthday of Simon Bolivar who had liberated five Latin American countries from Spanish colonialism.

The officials agreed that at the international level the relations between Serbia and Venezuela are excellent as both countries protect one another’s interests in international institutions and organizations.
