It is with great regret that the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia received the news of the untimely death of the Member of Parliament and Mayor of Belgrade, Nenad Bogdanovic.

The National Assembly will remember Nenad Bogdanovic as an exceptionally energetic and competent Finance Committee Chairman, a skilled expert in the field of economy and a man who, since 2001, devoted his efforts in the National Assembly to the introduction of democratic principles and bringing Serbia closer to European standards.

In his function as a Member of Parliament and Mayor of Belgrade, Nenad Bogdanovic gave an immeasurable contribution to facilitating uniform regional development of the Republic of Serbia. It is mostly due to him that Belgrade received the title of “The City of the Future for South-East Europe”.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia expresses its deepest sympathy to the Bogdanovic family and to the City of Belgrade.
