MPs Take Part in Parliamentary Seminar in Brussels

Members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society Dr Neven Cveticanin, Jovana Mehandzic Djurdjic and Radoslav Komlenovic and European Integration Committee member Karolj Cizik took part in the parliamentary seminar on Youth and Education in the Western Balkan Countries, on 6 and 7 November 2013, at the European Parliament in Brussels.


The seminar was chaired by the Chair of the EP Committee on Culture and Education, Doris Pack. On the first day of the seminar the participants learned about the EU education policy and the role of the EU programmes in the Balkans, while the topic of the second day was inclusive education.
Dr Neven Cveticanin, member of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society, presented the measures and activities implemented by the Republic of Serbia in the sphere of education and youth policy, stressing that these are areas monitored on the European level via a set of indicators established by the European Commission so as to allow for a comparative oversight of youth policies in all European countries.
