As part of the programme, a number of meetings were held with representatives of local institutions. The participants attended technical meetings dedicated to crisis management following the February 2023 earthquake, as well as visits to environmental protection and sustainable development facilities, including ecological buildings, biogas plants and a mechanical biological waste treatment centre. The "Green City" plan, aimed at transforming Gaziantep into a green and resilient city, with a vision of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, was also presented on this occasion.

The central event was the 2025 Europe Prize ceremony, which honoured the city of Gaziantep for its outstanding contribution to promoting European ideals, international cooperation and developing partnerships and projects in the spirit of European unity. The ceremony was attended by members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, representatives of local authorities and numerous international guests.

On the sidelines of the event, Vladimir Djordjevic held several talks with representatives of the local authorities of Gaziantep and Turkish officials, at which they exchanged experiences in the field of sustainable development, environmental protection, and regional cooperation.
