Marjanovic said that Serbia is a country invested in protecting its cultural heritage and highlighted the importance of the Creative Europe programme which greatly contributes to many cultural organizations in Serbia, encourages the development of young talent and culture as a whole, supports international cooperation projects and the translation and promotion of quality European literature among the readership.

The representatives of Europa Nostra agreed that Serbia has enormous cultural potential and emphasized the importance of the EU cultural strategy which hinges on having a network of operators in all cultural fields as it contributes to better quality of cooperation.

Finally, Marjanovic concluded that culture can help prepare Serbia to join the European Union and that cooperation, which she hopes would continue, is important to keep social and cultural development as a state policy priority.
