MP Srdjan Sajn Talks to Macedonian President Djordje Ivanov

In the course of the two-day visit to Macedonia, on 12 and 13 April 2013, MP Srdjan Sajn spoke with Macedonian President Djordje Ivanov about improving the position of the Roma community in Serbia and Macedonia.


Sajn informed Ivanov about the foundation of the Roma Interparliamentary Organisation on 7 May in Belgrade which should play a significant role, on the territory of Europe, in the creation of integration policies for the poorest European community.

Ivanov commended the initiative adding that he was ready to share positive experiences on the Decade of Roma with the organisation. He also said that Macedonia is doing all in its power to promote the socio-economic position of the Roma community.

In the course of his visit to Macedonia Sajn also spoke with the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Spiro Ristovski, and proposed a joint session of the Macedonian and Serbian Government in May in Belgrade which would at the same time mark the beginning of joint projects within the Decade of Roma.
