Jovanov and Stevandic Discuss Cooperation of Serbia and Republic of Srpska Parliamentarians
The cooperation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska is important and it is vital to maintain the continuity of close contacts between the parliamentarians, concluded the Head of the ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group Milenko Jovanov in his meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic, currently in official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
Jovanov and Stevandic exchanged experiences of the two parliaments’ current work, as well as the situation in Serbia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Affairs Committee Deputy Chairperson Marina Ragus and the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Bosnia and Herzegovina Milimir Vujadinovic. Ragus spoke of the geopolitical situation in Europe and the impact of the war in Ukraine, especially stressing the importance of abiding by international law and international agreements.
Vujadinovic drew attention to the significance of the exchange of experiences between the parliamentarians through intensive contacts of parliamentary friendship groups.
The officials agreed that regional cooperation is of exceptional importance, especially the Open Balkans initiative which enables the opening of regional market and the development of economy in the Western Balkans.
