Hundred and Fourth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 2 December, the Legislative Committee members considered the 67 amendments the deputies had submitted to the Bills amending and modifying the Tobacco Law, the Law on Games of Chance and the Law on Military, Labour and Material Duty, as well as the Bill amending and modifying the Law on State Administration.



At the sitting held on 2 December, the Legislative Committee members considered the 67 amendments the deputies had submitted to the Bills amending and modifying the Tobacco Law, the Law on Games of Chance and the Law on Military, Labour and Material Duty, as well as the Bill amending and modifying the Law on State Administration. The Committee declared all the amendments legally feasible, except for two amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Games of Chance which were rejected.

At the sitting, the Legislative Committee also considered eighth initiatives to estimate the constitutionality of the provisions of several laws submitted by the Constitutional Court to the National Assembly, viz. the provisions of article 41, paragraphs 1, 3 and 8 of the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro, provisions of article 19 and articles 61 through 70 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, provisions of article 87 of the Law on Planning and Construction, provisions of article 264, paragraph 5, item 8) of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, provisions of article 31a, paragraph 1, item 2) of the Property Tax Law, provisions of article 38a of the Property Tax Law, provisions of article 55 of the Law amending and modifying the Civil Procedure Law and provisions of article 137, paragraph 2 of the Law on Military, Labour and Material Duty.

Regarding the submitted initiatives to estimate the constitutionality of the provisions of said laws, the Committee members unanimously decided to inform the Constitutional Court, in line with the Government’s opinion, that the disputed provisions do not contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
