Hundred and Eighteenth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 5 May, the Legislative Committee considered, in principle, the 10 Bills proposed to be included into the agenda for the Fourth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011.By a majority of votes, with one vote against and one vote abstain, the Committee ruled to inform the National Assembly that the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Election of Deputies, submitted by 108 deputies, adhered to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.



At the sitting held on 5 May, the Legislative Committee considered, in principle, the 10 Bills proposed to be included into the agenda for the Fourth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011.

By a majority of votes, with one vote against and one vote abstain, the Committee ruled to inform the National Assembly that the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Election of Deputies, submitted by 108 deputies, adhered to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Legislative Committee unanimously decided to inform the National Assembly that the Company Bill, Bill on Consensual Financial Restructuring of Companies, Bill on Protection of Financial Service Users, Bill on Control of Precious Metal Objects and the Bill amending the Tobacco Law adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Also, the Committee unanimously decided to inform the National Assembly that the Bill on the Confirmation of the European Landscape Convention, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on visa abolition for bearers of diplomatic and official passports and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Visa Abolition Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Japan comply with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vlatko Ratkovic.
