Addressing the students, Aleksandra Drecun highlighted the importance of the ties between science and society and pointed out the need to keep improving said ties. All debates should be based in fact, and the society should base its decisions on dialogue, concluded the Director of the Centre for the Promotion of Science.
Member of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society Donka Banovic briefed the participants on the National Assembly Committee’s scope, mode of operation and role as regulated by the National Assembly Rules of Procedure. She explained the procedure applied when reviewing bills, civic petitions sent to the Committee, and when organising public hearings.
