Head of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Japan Speaks to Japanese Ambassador

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Japan, Aleksandra Djurovic, and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Toshio Tsunozaki met today at the National Assembly House to speak about the two countries’ future cooperation and boosting relations between the two parliaments in particular, especially via parliamentary friendship groups.

Aleksandra Djurovic informed the Japanese Ambassador that the National Assembly boasts 56 parliamentary friendship groups adding that this Group, with its 31 members, is among the largest. This reflects the friendship connecting the two nations and the tendency to raise bilateral relations onto a higher level. Aleksandra Djurovic expressed gratitude for Japan’s numerous donations, hoping that the parliamentary group at the Japanese Parliament would come to visit Serbia.
Ambassador Toshio Tsunozaki said that the activities of parliamentary friendship groups should be promoted as a way to boost interparliamentary and overall relations between Serbia and Japan. He also deemed that Serbia’s future development and speedier recovery from the economic crisis, necessitates working on attracting investment into Serbia and creating conditions suitable for a more comprehensive engagement of Japanese companies in particular.
