The Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, took part in the 37th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie for the Europe Region, held in the city of Andorra, Principality of Andorra, from 19 to 22 October 2025.
The topics of the Francophonie General Assembly for the Europe Region were: Cooperation and Economic Development in the Europe Region, Economy and Employment in Europe: the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Inclusive and Diverse Growth, and Youth and the Economy of the Future: Drivers of Change and Catalysts of Innovation.
At the opening of the General Assembly, the participants were addressed by the Head of the Principality of Andorra, Carles Enséniat Réig, who welcomed and supported the work of the APF, emphasising that the work of the APF for the Europe Region is of great importance for Europe, the European Union and its citizens. He emphasised the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and its role in encouraging cooperation in the field of economy, youth entrepreneurship and the promotion of trade and connectivity. The participants were addressed by the Head of the Delegation of the Principality of Andorra to the APF, Marc Magallon Font, the President of the APF, Amelia Lakrafi, and the President of the APF for the Europe Region, Anne Lambelin.
The Head of the standing delegation, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, in her address on the topic of Cooperation and Economic Development in the European Region, emphasised that Serbia has adopted strategic documents as a preparation for smart responses to global crises. She emphasised that through cooperation with the members of the European Union, the path of cooperation with the countries of La Francophonie in Europe is opened, as well as in other parts of the world, where cooperation through La Francophonie is one of the possible paths for its improvement.
Speaking on the topic Youth and the Economy of the Future: Carriers of Change and Catalysts of Innovation, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, said that creative industries, IT, film, music, video games, publishing, already make up a significant part of Serbia's gross domestic product and provide numerous opportunities for young people to build careers, to create, to change. On the other hand, clear and predictable rules on intellectual property, institutions that protect authors' rights enable not only development, but also trust in the domestic and international context. The world needs young people as creators, innovators and bridges between tradition and modernity, between local and global, and parliamentarians want to support them.
During the 37th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie for the Europe Region, the Head of the standing delegation, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, had a series of bilateral talks with members of APF delegations.
The 37th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie for the Europe Region in the Principality of Andorra was attended by over 100 participants, from 25 delegations of parliaments of the APF member states, associate members and observers, with the participation of representatives of the APF secretariat, experts and representatives of the academic community.
