Stojmirovic first informed Ambassador del Todo that the National Assembly’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba boasts 40 members and that the good relations between Serbia and Cuba could be improved even further by an exchange visit of PFG members. He also said that a student exchange could be beneficial, as would cooperation between faculties.

The Cuban Ambassador said he was more than happy with the traditionally good and friendly relations between Serbia and Cuba adding that he would do his best to expand cooperation across the board during his diplomatic tenure in Serbia.

Finally, the officials agreed that meetings between the members of the two parliaments’ respective friendship groups, including the heads of their foreign affairs committees, could help strengthen the two countries’ interparliamentary cooperation.
